The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has strengthened international cooperation in aviation education and safety with the launch of the third batch of the Advanced Masters in Aviation Safety Management (AMASM) program, conducted in partnership with France’s École Nationale de l’Aviation Civile (ENAC) and supported by Airbus.
The program was formally opened on October 6, 2025, at the CAAP Civil Aviation Training Center in Pasay City.
It aims to develop aviation professionals with the skills and leadership needed to enhance the country’s safety oversight and align with global standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and its Next Generation of Aviation Professionals (NGAP) initiative.
A total of 22 participants are taking part in this year’s program, including 14 from CAAP and eight from other local aviation sectors. The part-time course runs for 12 months, with intensive five-day modules each month, followed by six months of thesis preparation and defense.
CAAP Director General Retired Lt. Gen. Raul Del Rosario said the program reflects the agency’s commitment to advancing aviation safety through international collaboration and continuous learning.
“Aviation safety is not a static goal but a living commitment that demands vigilance, foresight, and leadership,” Del Rosario said.
