More than 60 countries and local vendors are set to participate in the 2025 International Bazaar, to be held on Nov. 16 at the World Trade Center Tent in Pasay City, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) announced.
Organized by the International Bazaar Foundation, Inc. (IBF), the annual event will run from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and will feature a vibrant mix of international cuisine, crafts, and souvenirs from the participants, according to a report by the Philippine News Agency.
Foreign Affairs Secretary and IBF Chairperson Ma. Theresa Lazaro described the bazaar as more than just a shopping event, describing calling it “a celebration of cultural heritage and the generosity of the human spirit.”
“This year’s theme, ‘Shop Global, Help Local,’ highlights the coming together of global wonders and local treasures, as well as entrepreneurship and philanthropy,” Lazaro said.
A total of 42 countries and organizations will take part in this year’s bazaar, including Australia, Bangladesh, Belgium, China, France, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Thailand, Türkiye, the United States, and Vietnam, among others.
Switzerland is returning to the bazaar after a one-year hiatus, bringing back its popular premium Swiss chocolates. Meanwhile, Moldova, Poland, and Slovenia will make their debut as first-time exhibitors.
At least 23 Philippine exhibitors will also showcase local products, ranging from fashion and home goods to cosmetics, jewelry, and delicacies.
Entrance fee is priced at PHP200, with proceeds supporting IBF and Spouses of Heads of Mission (SHOM) charity projects, including scholarship programs for marginalized sectors.
IBF Executive Director Nora Salazar said part of this year’s proceeds will be donated to victims of the recent earthquakes in Cebu and Davao Oriental.
Established in 1966, the International Bazaar Foundation is a non-profit organization that funds charitable causes and scholarship programs through its annual fundraising events.
